Wood Repair Epoxy Paste for PC Products

PC-Woody, a two-part epoxy paste, is formulated to replace missing and rotted wood. With structural strength greater than most wood, it serves as a permanent wood repair solution for both interior and exterior applications. This epoxy, crafted from real wood, shares many characteristics of natural wood.

The PC-Woody formulation offers an extended working time, allowing users ample time to reposition their work or make necessary changes, particularly for large and critical jobs. Its high "wet grab" or tack makes overhead and sidewall work effortless, preventing drips or sags.

Notably, PC-Woody demonstrates excellent resistance to various weathering elements, including dry rot, UV light, fresh and salt water, as well as the chemicals present in pressure-treated wood. After curing, the material can be painted, stained, drilled, machined, sanded, filed, tapped, or sawed, enabling users to repair a wide range of items, such as log homes, furniture, window and door sills, and much more.

The color of the mixed product is pine or tan, with the individual components being off-white (component A) and light brown (component B). The working time at 70 degrees Fahrenheit is 30-40 minutes, and the tack-free cure time is 90 minutes. The material can be used for service after 24 hours and reaches its maximum cure within 7 days.

PC-Woody exhibits impressive performance characteristics, including a Gardner impact resistance of 100 in/lb, an elongation of 5-7 percent, and non-conductive properties. It also demonstrates excellent thermal shock resistance and remains stable within a temperature range of -20 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

The tensile shear strength of PC-Woody is 850 psi, the compressive yield is 2340 psi, and the flexural strength is 1280 psi. The water absorption is 0.44 percent, and the weight (specific gravity) is 0.72 g/cm³ or 0.42 oz./in³. The material's hardness, measured on the Shore scale, ranges from 50-55 after one week, and its heat deflection temperature is 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
