To prepare the surface, users should clean and dry it, ensuring it is free of dirt, dust, and foreign material. The surface, filler, and air temperature should be above 40°. To apply the filler, users should squeeze the tube and apply it to the area with a putty knife, pressing the filler firmly in place and removing any excess.

For large or deep holes, an extra filling may be needed. After allowing the filler to dry for approximately 1 hour for shallow fills and 2-6 hours for deeper holes, users should sand the area using medium sandpaper.

Before filling, users should test the stain on a scrap of wood with the filler. The wood filler can be painted with latex or oil-based paints. To clean up, users should remove any excess residue with a damp cloth before the filler dries, and use soap and water to clean hands and tools before the material dries. For outdoor use, the filler should be coated with exterior paint. It is not recommended for continuous water submersion.
